After a successful beta & pre-release testing period, Magento 2.4.3 has been finally released.
But, what’s new in Magento 2.4.3?
During the testing phase, the Magento community provided significant input for improvements.
As a result, Adobe packed the latest version of Magento 2.4.3 with an abundance of functionality upgrades, feature enhancements, and bug fixes.
In this post, we’ve shared every key highlight from the Magento 2.4.3 release, and how it will impact your Magento 2 store.
General Code & Security Fixes
In Magento 2.4.3 release, Adobe released 33 security fixes along with platform improvements to improve the overall security.
Many of these security fixes are backported to the previous 2.4.2-p2 & 2.3.7-p1 versions.
The primary goal of these security fixes is to help protect your store against Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) & Code Remote Execution (CRE) vulnerabilities.
These vulnerabilities usually involve when hackers successfully gain access to the admin page. So, it is highly recommended to follow Adobe security best practices to safeguard your Magento 2 store.
Apart from the above-mentioned security fixes, Adobe also fixed hundreds of issues in Magento’s core code including issues related to CAPTCHA, cart & checkout, product bundles, CMS content, and so on.
Infrastructure Improvements
Besides security & general fixes, there have been many improvements to the core infrastructure of the platform to enhance performance, functionality, and reliability throughout various parts of Magento such as:
- Customer Account
- Import/Export
- Cart & Checkout
- OMS
- CMS
- Catalog
- B2B
- Staging & Preview
- Promotions & Targeting
Additionally, the PayPal Pay Later is now also available for all Magento 2 stores having the PayPal payment gateway.
This feature basically allows customers to pay for purchases in bi-weekly installments instead of paying the total amount up-front in a single transaction.
Platform Enhancements
On the technical side, Adobe released plenty of platform improvements to help store owners deploy PHP 8.X along with the updates to the Laminas 3.4.0 & Core Composer.
Thanks to this, Magento 2.4.3 version is now fully compatible with Redis 6.0.12, and the KnockoutJS library is also being upgraded to the latest version v3.5.1.
Performance Improvements
On the performance side, Magento 2.4.3 version is released with certain performance enhancements that will significantly reduce the indexation time Catalog Rule indexers & Product Price, including an option to exclude websites from a specific product group or shared catalog.
Adobe Stock Integration v2.1.1
In Magento 2.4.3 release, the Adobe Stock Integration is updated to version 2.1.1 in order to provide a more seamless experience when purchasing, adding, and managing the stock photos, videos, and other visual assets.
This version is available for both Adobe Commerce as well as Magento Open-Source users.
Page Builder Is Now Available For Magento Open Source
That’s right! The popular page builder which was only available for paid Adobe Commerce plans earlier is now available for Magento Open Source as well.
It is a What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) editor that lets Magento store owners build new pages quickly without writing a single line of code.
John Stockton, Adobe’s Senior Director for Commerce Product, wrote in a blog post announcing this decision and said that “the ability to rapidly develop and deliver new content is now…a requirement for success. It’s for that reason that we will be making Page Builder available to all our merchants, across both Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source”.
PWA Studio v11.0.0
Alongside the Magento 2.4.3 release, Adobe also released PWA Studio v11.0.0 with a variety of improvements, bug fixes, and a couple of new features.
Magento PWA Studio, in case you don’t know, is used for developing Progressive Web Apps on Magento 2 platform in order to provide an app-like experience.
One feature that needs to be highlighted here is the completion of the Wish List functionality, which begun in the PWA Studio v9.0.0.
Along with the Wish List feature, there are performance, accessibility, and functionality updates released in the PWA Studio v11.0.0.

Finally, there are many major updates added to a few specific vendor-developed extensions in the Magento 2.4.3 release.
